Job Description

Adams and Martin is assisting their fantastic client with a Commercial Contracts/Subcontracts Manager interim role. This is a 100% REMOTE position with part-time hours.

We're seeking a contracts manager or attorney to manage government and commercial contracting activities, with a strong focus on subcontract drafting, negotiation, and T&Cs. This role supports active DoD proposals and ongoing prime-contract programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate, and administer subcontracts, including FAR/DFARS flow-downs and compliance requirements.
  • Review and negotiate T&Cs, MSAs, NDAs, teaming agreements, and SOWs.
  • Support DoD proposal efforts by preparing subcontract packages and coordinating with teaming partners.
  • Use existing procurement templates and playbooks to streamline subcontract issuance.
  • Participate in subcontractor and subvendor calls with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, finance, and program teams to ensure contract compliance.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and the U.S. Government acquisition process.
  • Experience issuing subcontracts as a federal prime contractor.
  • Familiarity with commercial contracting (MSAs, T&Cs).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and contract-interpretation skills.
  • Background in business law, contracts management, or government procurement preferred.
